Key Dates to Stand With Israel in 2026
Some of the most meaningful days to remember, reflect, and show support don't come with much fanfare. They pass quietly on the calendar unless you know to look for them. Here are the key dates left in 2026, both Jewish and American, worth marking down if you want to stay connected to this cause throughout the year.
A note on Jewish dates: the Hebrew calendar is lunar-based, so these dates shift every year and traditionally begin at sundown the evening before. We've listed the standard civil dates below for easy reference.
Tisha B'Av - July 22-23, 2026
This is the saddest day on the Jewish calendar, a day of fasting and mourning that commemorates the destruction of both ancient Temples in Jerusalem, along with other tragedies that have struck the Jewish people throughout history. It's a day for remembering loss, and this year it falls just days from now.
Rosh Hashanah - September 11-13, 2026
The Jewish New Year, a time of reflection and hope for what's ahead. This year, it happens to begin the same evening as America's Patriot Day, a striking overlap between a day of renewal and a day of remembrance.
Patriot Day (9/11) - September 11, 2026
America's own day of remembrance for the 2,977 people killed in the September 11 attacks. It's worth pausing here: both the United States and Israel know, intimately, what it means to grieve civilians lost to terrorism. That shared understanding is part of why this alliance matters.
Yom Kippur - September 20-21, 2026
The Day of Atonement, the holiest day in Judaism. A 25-hour period of fasting, prayer, and seeking forgiveness. A good day to sit quietly with gratitude for what you have.
Simchat Torah - October 3-4, 2026
Ordinarily, this is one of the most joyful days in the Jewish calendar, celebrating the completion and restart of the yearly Torah reading cycle. Since October 7, 2023, it has also become a day carrying deep grief for Israelis and Jewish communities worldwide. We hold both truths this year: the joy the day was always meant to hold, and the weight it now also carries.
Veterans Day - November 11, 2026
A day to honor every American who has served. Fitting, too, for a brand built on the idea that standing up for others, whether across an ocean or across town, is something worth living out, not just talking about.
Thanksgiving - November 26, 2026
A distinctly American holiday, and a good one to pause on. Gratitude is easy to talk about and harder to practice. This is a good day to actually practice it, for what you have, and for the people working to rebuild what others have lost.
Hanukkah - December 4-12, 2026
The Festival of Lights, commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple and the small amount of oil that miraculously burned for eight nights instead of one. A story about resilience outlasting scarcity, which, if you've read anything else on this blog, might sound familiar.
